ALUTEX is a longitudinally laminated flexible and self-extinguishing heat protection sleeves made of a particularly heat-resistant textile glass fabric (e-glass) and metalllic surface made of pure aluminum. The aluminum surface has very high reflectivity to radiation heat and has excellent protection function against thermal radiation even in situations of temporary overheating. Therefore in case of temporary overheating and even if the binding layer is damaged, the heat protecting function remains largely. ALUTEX is ideal for shielding radiant heat to adjacent components, e.g. in the engine compartment.

A very good installation is possible in tight bendind radius because of the longitudinally lamination. By using ALUTEX cables and cable harnesses absorb non or significantly less heat from hot adjacent components.
